There's much to see here. So, take your time, look around, and learn all there is to know about MEAN C6.
This 2006 Chevrolet Corvette is a machine built for the track, with a 6.0-liter V8 engine that produces 400 horsepower. Equipped with a six-speed T56 transmission, it can go from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.6 seconds. With only 63,000 miles on the odometer, this car is practically brand new.
This stock LS2 is a bullet proof platform. Equipped with an A&A Supercharger, a LS2 can make up to 520 RWHP. With a stage 3 camshaft and other supporting modifications, one can expect up to 750 RWHP.
The MEAN C6 made 732 RWHP using 93 on a stock bottom end!
The MEAN C6 is rocking a set of forged wheels from Cray Racing. The rims are paired with Nitto NT01 325 rears and NT555 275 fronts. These are used strictly for street uses.
The MEAN C6 looks pretty stock on the inside, however it is far from this. We have a MGW 6 Speed Short Shifter, aftermarket sound with Apple Carplay, LED upgrade, steering wheel upgrade, and extra pod gauges to measure Air / Fuel and boost pressure
On the MEAN C6 we have a V3 Torque Cam from Texas Speed, Hooker Long Tube Headers, MSD Atomic 103 mm Intake, and A&A Supercharger all on a stock rotating assembly.
On Friday April 28, 2023 we received news that the LS2 motor had bit the bullet. Shortly after receiving some new modifications, the engine hydrolocked and sent piston 8 out the side of the block. We did plan for this and have a brand new 402 motor being installed.
The MEAN motor uses the original platform of the LS2. The block is bored over 0.030 and increased the stroke to a 4.00". In doing so, we made this motor a 6.6L or 402 ci. The motor is built with forged K1 internals. We will be reusing a set of of 799 heads that have been CNC ported to increase airflow. The motor will be a high compression motor of 11.4 : 1 so ARP bolts and head studs are a must!
The MEAN Drag Pack consist of Hoosiers 315 rears on a 10" rim by Race Stars, and Mickey Thompson skinnies on the front. This was a completely brand new set we have yet to use. We believe the 315 rear tire will hook on a prepped surface. We will find out very soon.
The MEAN C6 has the aFe Control Johnny O' Connell Stage 1 Suspension package. This setup mimics the Z06 package, but according to reviews, the aFe setup feels more planted in corners and on rougher roads over stock. Johnny O'Connell, who is the 4 time Le Mans winner, designed this setup to be amazing on the track while also offering street-ability.
The MEAN C6 is equipped with Hooker Long Tube Headers. It also has the full Hooker Blackheart exhaust. This is a true racecar, so it has to be straight piped! They are true duals that are 3" in diameter. This setup will definitely
wake up the neighbors!
I will go to the grave with my opinion about this setup. This all inclusive setup will absolutely change your C6 from a muscle car to a supercar. If you're completely stock or slightly modified, you could see 500 - 900 RWHP. The MEAN C6 made 732 RWHP on pump fuel. We went with 90# injectors and the dual fuel pump offered by A&A. The inline fuel pump is not the easiest to install, but it's much better than having to drop the entire tank!
The MEAN C6 will be receiving a brand new Stage 6 TR6060 and Stage 4 Differential from RPM Transmissions. We will be using a DTE Brace to help our launches and reduce powertrain vibration. This setup is perfect for anything less than 1500 RWHP. We will pair this with our G-Force axles which for sure will lead us to victory lane.
